How to help your child with Class 2 English
- Read together for ten minutes a day. Grammar makes far more sense once a child has seen it in real sentences.
- Play spot-the-word games. "Find three describing words on this page" turns grammar into a hunt.
- Say it out loud. Children often hear that "an apple" or "he go" sounds wrong before they can explain the rule.
- Let them write a little. A three-line diary entry practises sentences, tenses and spelling at once.
Olympiad connection
Grammar and vocabulary practice supports the IEO (International English Olympiad), which tests word and structure knowledge, reading, and spoken and written expression. See our guides: Olympiad exams for Classes 1–5 · logical reasoning practice.
