Blood relations questions describe how people in a family are related and ask how two of them are connected: "Arjun is the father of Dev. Dev is the brother of Nisha. How is Arjun related to Nisha?" They look tricky, but a quick family-tree sketch makes almost all of them easy.
What your child should know
- Know the basic words: father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother, cousin.
- A father's or mother's brother is an uncle; their children are cousins.
- Children with the same parents are siblings.
- Draw a family tree: generations on separate rows, siblings side by side.
